Hi I just build my first pc for myself in a decade.Specs: Core i7 8700 non K ASUS z370 plus tuf motherboard.Latest bios. 2x Crucial ballistix tactical 8GB RAM DDR4 3000MHz. When XMP is disabled I get CPU core voltage 1.04v.As soon as I enable XMP profile 1 (only 1 profile present) the CPU core voltage shoots to 1.4V.Also base clock gets changed to 102.25MHz automatically.I am very worried that why the CPU core voltage is shooting up.Will it damage the system or reduce its longivity? I want the memory to run at 3000MHz.No need for cpu overclocking as I did not buy i7 8700k.
